Tidbit Tuesday
Just a few thoughts today...
My tushy is huge, and mushy. Yep...and something WILL be done about it.
Tootsie rolls are the devil.
Tootsie rolls are the devil.
Have I ever mentioned I love my co-workers? They are a-w-e-s-o-m-e.
I have the cutest, sweetest dog on the planet. (see above for proof)
When we have down time at work, we have dance parties. :)
I love life...my family, and my friends.

Miscellany Monday!
It's that time again! Now before I go into all my ramblings...I just have to say, I really have enjoyed doing the weekly Miscellany Monday posts! It's definitely one of my favorite blog carnivals to participate in, because I can write about anything! Not that I can't write about anything any other day...but you know what I'm sayin'. :)
Ready...set...GO!
1. Talk about frustrating. So we've been in our house for about a month now, and the city has YET to bring us a trash can. Well, until today that is. After Ian went down and set everything up with the city (water & trash pickup) we were told they would deliver a trash can to us within the week but we could use a temporary can until we received ours. My dad let us borrow one of his old trash cans to use for the time being. The first week wasn't a problem. They picked up our trash and everything, but still no can...so I called them. "We don't seem to have you in our system maam" they said. Huh? The lady then reassured me that she would get everything taken care of. Two more weeks go by, and still no trash can. So this morning, we sit our trash out like usual and because Ian has today off, he happened to watch the garbage truck drive by, and SKIP our house. What?! So he calls them and they say we aren't in the system. Now we are mad. I mean, we were mad before, but not like this. Ian called them and they said they would take care of it. And they did. Finally. We have a trash can now. No more garbage bags overflowing out of the tiny can, and no more dogs ripping the bags open. Whew...that was lengthy. :)
2. Let the payments begin. I mailed off our first ever mortgage payment today. Weird. I mean, I still don't think it's hit me yet that we are home owners. We have our own beautiful house...OUR OWN! So cool.
3. Gardener eh? Saturday, I had the day off work...so Ian and I went to Home Depot and decided to get some flowers. I wanted a cute little basket to hang from our back porch. I felt really stupid asking the lady, but I said, "I have a really stupid question. Do I just buy the flowers, and put them in this pot?" She then told me that I needed to buy a bag of potting soil (duh) as well. So I went home, realized I didn't have a little shovel (so I used a spoon from the kitchen...haha) and got to planting! And here is the result:
Yay! I love them. Now let's just hope I can keep them alive. :)
4. Did I mention I love MyChurch? You might remember me saying our church is going through a series right now called MyTunes...where they take a secular songs and pull truths about God's Word from them. Last Sunday, they played Collective Soul "Shine".
Well yesterday morning, the band performed the song by Justin Timberlake and T.I. "Dead and Gone". It was awesome! My husband took some video of it and uploaded it to Facebook...so I'm not sure if you will be able to see it or not...but it's worth a try, so click HERE. Sorry if you can't see it...but take my word for it...it was awesome!
Now, don't forget to post your Miscellany Monday and link up over at Carissa's!

How To Tick People Off
I came across this on my friend Rachel's blog, and couldn't resist re-posting it. These are absolutely hilarious! They were originally posted on ArtLung.
How to Tick People Off
(via)
- Leave the copy machine set to reduce 200%, extra dark, 17 inch paper, 99 copies.
- In the memo field of all your checks, write "for sexual favors."
- Specify that your drive-through order is "TO-GO."
- If you have a glass eye, tap on it occasionally with your pen while talking to others.
- Stomp on little plastic ketchup packets.
- Insist on keeping your car windshield wipers running in all weather conditions "to keep them tuned up."
- Reply to everything someone says with "that's what you think."
- Practice making fax and modem noises.
- Highlight irrelevant information in scientific papers and "cc" them to your boss.
- Make beeping noises when a large person backs up.
- Finish all your sentences with the words "in accordance with prophesy."
- Signal that a conversation is over by clamping your hands over your ears and grimacing.
- Disassemble your pen and "accidentally" flip the ink cartridge across the room.
- Holler random numbers while someone is counting.
- Adjust the tint on your TV so that all the people are green, and insist to others that you "like it that way."
- Staple pages in the middle of the page.
- Publicly investigate just how slowly you can make a croaking noise.
- Honk and wave to strangers.
- Decline to be seated at a restaurant, and simply eat their complimentary mints at the cash register.
- TYPE IN UPPERCASE.
- type only in lowercase.
- dont use any punctuation either
- Buy a large quantity of orange traffic cones and reroute whole streets.
- Repeat the following conversation a dozen times.
"DO YOU HEAR THAT?"
"What?"
"Never mind, it's gone now." - As much as possible, skip rather than walk.
- Try playing the William Tell Overture by tapping on the bottom of your chin. When nearly done, announce "No, wait, I messed it up," and repeat.
- Ask people what gender they are.
- While making presentations, occasionally bob your head like a parakeet.
- Sit in your front yard pointing a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down.
- Sing along at the opera.
- Go to a poetry recital and ask why each poem doesn't rhyme.
- Ask your co-workers mysterious questions and then scribble their answers in a notebook. Mutter something about "psychological profiles.
Have you done any of these things before? Haha.

Fill in the Blank Friday
1. I am a daughter, a wife, a friend, a girl who tries to live for Christ daily but struggles along the way, indecisive, a girl who loves mexican food and sushi, extremely organized, and much much more .
2. I wish everyone would learn to love everyone. Wouldn't our problems be less then ?
3. I like my husband (well, most of the time anyway) haha just kidding. I like life !
4. I can _do all things through Christ who strengthens me! .
5. I hope I will never get tired of blogging .
6. I think everyone should be complimented daily...whether it be saying something like "you're beautiful" or "you did a great job today". We live in such a world of insecurity .
7. I was excited that I actually got up early this morning to go to Starbucks with the hubby before work !

Miscellany Monday!
Oh the miscellany! So so much to talk about! Here it goes!
1. Blogapalooza! This past Saturday Ian and some of his friends went to the Auburn football game...and while they were gone, me and one of the wives (Denise) had a girls day! We had a yummy lunch at Cheddar's, then picked up some adorable pumpkin cupcakes from a local bakery...
...followed by several episodes of Friends...pizza later on, and most importantly, BLOGAPALOOZA! "What does that mean?" you might ask. Recently, Denise has decided she wanted to start blogging, and she did a great job configuring her blog layout, etc, but she asked me if I would help spruce it up a little! Long story short, after much html, browsing for the perfect Shabby Blogs layout, and math, we completely changed the look of her blog! I hope you all will visit her blog and encourage her as she jumps headfirst into the blog community! :)

2. My dog is so silly. Lilly has learned that if she jumps up onto the back of the couch, then she can look out the window and see the dogs across the street. I'll admit, I probably am the reason she realizes she can do this, because I sat her up there one day to keep her occupied while I was doing something else. Well yesterday, she decided to take her doggie up to the window with her. How cute is this?
3. I love MyChurch. Yep. MyChurch is awesome! And yes, the name of the church is MyChurch. We are going through a series right now called MyTunes...where they are taking popular songs that we listen to and pulling truths from them. It's awesome!
4. Family, friends & Starbucks! To pieces. Yep. Love love love them! We had the opportunity to hangout with some friends we don't get to see often the other night, and then met our parents at Starbucks for some coffee! How cute is my dad? Haha. Did I really just say that?
5. Haircut & color. I finally was able to schedule myself another hair appointment the other day to have it cut and colored just a little darker for the fall. Yay!
